The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. We live in a small town so everybody can connect in and outside of school quite easily! The math department I would say is standard. The English and science departments are very strong.
I like the welcoming environment, as well as the teachers' dedication to their subjects and their willingness to go above and beyond for the students.
Liked the small class sizes and ability to focus on individual students. Hated the lack of diversity, nepotism, and immense amount of bullying and exclusion that was allowed to go on by staff. Some teachers were great and others deserved to be fired for how they treated kids (especially children with disabilities.) Overall abhorrent experience and my own kids would not go here over my dead body.
I like the small town atmosphere, and the spirit. I wish our rules were less strict, and more about what students want.
Good I like the teachers they are very good and really engage the student many people also would agree I also think that it’s a excellent school.
Overall, I liked my high school. I didn't really see any problems with it. I'm happy to see that the agriculture program and the nursing program have really taken off! I would like to see more teaching about how to do things in life, like doing taxes or buying a house or anything in that matter.
It was an okay overall high school experience. There wasn't a large availability of classes, and a lot of AP classes that other schools would offer weren't offered. Didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.
Honesdale High School gives students the opportunity to grow. It also has a strict dress code which is similar to what employees should wear to their work place. This school prepares students to get out into the real world.
The majority of teachers are about as useful as wet rags and the guidance department is at about that same level.
Very good school for honors or advanced placement students. Teachers are mostly kind and outgoing. The school has very few resources for students looking to attend more prestigious colleges and universities and tends to pander to small/ local schools only.
I like that the Honesdale Highschool is a nice home town school where your kids can go to school. If I could change one thing is to add more vocational programs to the school like a lot of other schools offer since my son is a hands on kid.
I enjoy my experience here at Honesdale high school. There is many things to do and many many electives open for offer. A couple things I would improve is the math department because there are no good teachers for algebra 1 or geometry. Another thing I would improve is the food quality (thanks Michelle Obama). There is nothing that is good on the menu besides the pizza sticks. I would definitely recommend this school. Honesdale and as well as the whole Wayne highlands school district has a very good reputation and phenomenal standardized test scores.
I have been able to go through high school in a school that cares about my education and my life in general.
Honesdale has helped me prepare for college and taking the SATS. I have had a lot of support whether it being academically, or athletically. I believe I have gotten a great education. I have met many great people, and have had many great experiences, such as traveling to Europe to learn about World War II
Honesdale High school is an average sized high school with students across a large district. It is friendly and welcoming with caring teachers.
HHS provides a very generic education. I hear about other schools in the area that have classes tailored specifically to certain areas of study (civil engineering, history, etc.), but this school only offered (and mandated) the basics.
On a more positive note however, the teachers really cared about our grasp of the topics at hand, and there was very little bullying among the student body. The school itself had thriving arts, music, and sports programs, and an altogether positive community.
All in all, I think HHS did an excellent job of giving me a general education and gave me positive encouragement to do so.

Honesdale High School is a great school with many opportunities. The teachers can be hit or miss, but the good ones are incredible. Most people in the school are willing to help you succeed no matter who you are. The environment is very nice and safe. However, is is not diverse and could offer better programs to help prepare kids for the future more.
