I think that Honaker needs more opportunities academic wise. There is only one foreign language offered, and there are a mere two Dual Enrollment opportunities.
I made some amazing friends and have met a few great teachers but honestly some teachers act like they have it out for us. Some teachers don’t care for their job. I am a really good student and make great grades but throughout my years, I’ve had some teachers purposely give me bad grades. This school has continued to fuel my anxiety. They don’t seem to care very much about health issues in the kids. Most of the teachers honestly just think about going home and hardly do their work. This school has its positives but it’d be nice for people to care a bit more.
This high school has a very nice atmosphere. We are a tight-knit community and there is seldom any bulling or that sort of thing around here. All the teachers try to know all of their students on a personal level and try to understand everyone's situations. My four years here have been a little dramatic of course, but never as bad as it seems to be at other schools. I would recommend this school to anyone.
