Homestead High School is excellent in terms of academics and extracurricular activities. Students fair well in all the fields and stand first when it comes to a dedication in general. Staff efforts are much appreciated in general and children excel well and in general, it is an excellent school and facilities provided are extraordinary. Homestead is a school that always follows unity in diversity and children study from all walks of life. Clubs and other activities conducted at school premises and also sports play an important role at school and lots of competitions are conducted and students are benefitted through this type of friendly competition. Students here get into prestigious universities and are placed in a recognized company and get a good carrier opportunity throughout the US and other countries. Our kid had a good experience and is a happy Graduate, Graduating from HOMESTEAD soon. Thank You!

Overall, my time at Homestead was positive. Teachers are a little bit hit or miss; there are some amazing teachers on campus, but also some pretty bad ones too.
College and Career advising does a great job educating students about options other than four year colleges, and I felt very prepared when applying to competitive colleges. BUT there was a problem where incorrect senior grades were sent to all my private colleges, which I only found out about when an admissions officer emailed me about it in March (Yikes!). Homestead did not do a good job taking the blame for their mistake (I double and triple checked that I turned in my forms correctly), and I feel as though their negligence played into some of my college decisions. An unfortunate ending to my time at Homestead, which was otherwise very positive.
On a positive note, support from the administration is there and is very useful as long as you can advocate for yourself!
The staff are pretty good. The amount of school activities (example: rallies) and clubs is amazing! One thing the school can improve on is the amount of teachers and courses. They've added some news ones but there are a few that one would expect to be offered at Homestead but isn't. Some teachers have up to 150 students, which can be hard if the students want to try to get to know a teacher and hard on the teacher if there's a large workload.
