A very nice high school. Easy to get 1-on-1 assistance with anything.
However, there are downsides to a small school, and the fine arts program can be seen as lacking resources other schools in the area have.

What I liked about Homer was the small town atmosphere. Getting one-on-one help from teachers really aided me into becoming the best student I could be. Also, the friendships formed in a small school is great. Everybody knows everybody and there is not one unfamiliar face in the hallways. What I would like to see change is the overall school spirit and more preparedness for college.
Athletics is the most popular extracurricular activity at Homer. I would say that at least half of the high school student body participate in a sport. This helps me and other students have pride for our school. The grounds and facility is well cared for. Our coaches and fans are pretty great too!
