Homer-Center is a small school centered in a small town. Everyone knows everyone here, and everyone knows everyone's business. The teachers and administration often choose favorites, frequently causing problems for children they do not particularly like. The academics aspect, though, is well. The subjects are taught in a relatively good manner, and the teachers are there to help. Having a small school is beneficial to some because you can make friends and ask for help without feeling 'weird'. Having problems on your math homework? Ask a student close to you. Chances are you've had a full on conversation and they've met your parents. The sense of community is high, and loving.
I had a great experience at Homer-Center. Although it is a small school, there were lots of opportunities for me. I've always been involved in the music programs, which have been great. There is a competitive marching band and indoor percussion that have both been very successful over the past years. There are also really great concert band, symphony band, and chorus opportunities. The music programs are very fortunate at Homer-Center.
Another thing that I love about Homer-Center is that it very like a community. All of the teachers know your names and form relationships with you. The student body is also very supportive of each other. The band supports the sports teams, but the sports teams are also very supportive of the band. You don't feel like you are defined by what you do, you are just one student body.

As a student attending Homer-Center, I can say that this is one of the best communities that I have seen. From the way the students interact to the teachers and even the administration, you can tell that they have a connection. I moved to this school district in 6th grade and was immediately accepted into the community the formed.
