In Holyoke High School, students are welcome, there is ill disguised bullying, and the teachers don't do much about it, even though they say they will. The extracurriculars exceed all expectations, with a huge variety of opportunities. There are many classes and an opportunity to take college classes. I assure you, if you try in this school, the teachers will make sure you succeed. The school is very clean and the teachers will help you if you ask. The food is pretty average, but it could be a lot worse, too. Over all this school is quite good and it should be given a chance.
Overall, I thought my experience at Holyoke Senior High School was not that bad. I had a fun time there, especially because I was born and raise in Holyoke.
Holyoke High School is a very safe and engaging learning environment. Teachers and staff are very helpful. Clubs like FFA and FBLA are very involved
I love how close the teachers and students are. A lot of one on one, which is very helpful to the kids. I'd like to see a change in classes they offer.
I like the teachers at Holyoke High School. They work really hard to make an impact in the lives of their students. Since it is a smaller community, everyone knows everyone. This is beneficial in actually getting to know one another. Each year that I have been here, something is always changing. I think that the school could use a bit more stability. Once a new routine is established, the school would be able to fully adjust and strive for greatness.
The school is pretty good. Teachers care about their students and make an effort to connect with them.
The school is small and teachers know you personally. The academics are competitive. The music departments is really good.
In my time of high school, my classmates and classes have made my life stressful. I do not feel comfortable in my school environment and in sports, as a small 2A school can get competitive and coaches make activities non-enjoyable.
I like the blended mix of Hispanic and American people. They teach to kids how to no be racist. They have great food when you walk to the cafeteria, clean floors and respectful people. Try the lasagna, its to die for.
I like the teachers at this high school. They don't allow phones so we can really focus on the topic that they are teaching. The school is nice and clean because the janitors are awesome.
Very poor experience with Special Needs Kids. Parent involvement was completely discouraged. We removed our son from the school system for this reason. School is more focused on Athletics than Academics.
I graduated from HHS in May 2016 and honestly loved my experience there. The teachers care about students individually and the success of everyone. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to attend Holyoke. Now that I'm at college, I can definitely say that they have prepared me well.
There are many extracurricular activities at this school, and its a great way to meet people. The coaches are very talents and wise when it comes to the sports, and they deeply care about the athletes.
The teachers at my school are very into teaching the students that attend their classes. They will even go out of their way sometimes be helpful outside of the classroom and respond to the questions given to them. It is also easy to approach them with personal issues.
Overall, my experience of high School has been better than what I would have expected.
There is not enough variety in my opinion.
I don't get in trouble often enough to experience the punishments.
