Holy Trinity School Reviews

Im 35 years old. I attended the school for 6th grade. I just woke up from a nightmare I had about sister Regina. She would terrorize you about your uniform. It was so cold in that school in the winter I would try to wear extra layers and she would yell at you, give you detention and make you do the rosery 1000x . This taught me nothing but resentment for nuns. It was hard to focus when youre fridgid cold! The only positive thing about that school at that time was their science teacher and their music teacher. I learned a lot from them. I now have an Engineering degree. I dont think children should be forced to take religion or told they cant wear more clothes. I hate nuns and this nightmare I just had 2 decades later. Also I remember the ceiling fans that were only hanging on by wire and would swing back and forth like an oscillating chandelier. All the students were scared that they would come crashing down on you. I hope the high tuition costs have allowed these to be updated!

I've been pleased overall with Holy Trinity. There is a heavy Jesuit influence at the school, and that was a priority for our family. The students definitely graduate with a well developed sense of social consciousness and a desire for justice. The education is excellent and innovative. The staff is top notch. The school may not be well suited for a child with extreme learning differences, but they can handle smaller issues in house. The parents are heavily involved at the school, and the teachers are incredibly communicative. Holy Trinity is working on becoming more diverse, and I've seen genuine improvement in that area. The setting in Georgetown is great, and the teachers help the kids to be a part of both the neighborhood and the city in general through field trips, etc.
