Holy Spirit Preparatory School has many pros and cons. Some pros are the fact that it is a close-knit school where everyone knows one another. It teaches students to value their faith and live a morally good life. Although this is great, there are some cons to go along with these pros. Their athletic program is not the best and they are constantly having fundraisers although families pay so much to go there. Over the past few years the basketball team has been getting better but the football team is not so great at all. They have a lot of great factors to the school, but some are outweighed by the negative.
Review Holy Spirit Preparatory School
Each year has been exceptionally different from the last. There have been times where I have genuinely loved the school, but at other times I become exceptionally disappointed with the school as a whole. The main problem I have seen in the past few years is the retention rate of the school as a whole, with both students and teachers. Many teachers, even if they have been here for 10+ years, have left the school, largely due to the fact that they feel maltreated by the school's administration. I honestly have felt that things have gone down hill when particular people have been put into administrative roles, without any prior knowledge to what being and administrator means. In addition, many policies are being made without getting student input, making them leave the school and have a generally negative attitude about the school. Just when things seem to be looking up, somethings happens and everything tends to go downhill.
I love most of the teachers here with the exceptions of a few. I have made friends with some of the teachers that I believe to be hardworking, smart and caring.

The biggest problem with about a quarter of the faculty is that they only seem to be here to make students or parents happy. I as a senior can differentiate teachers who want their students to succeed and teachers who only care about dragging students to choose their class. They are using all techniques including candies and easy grades to keep their students in their class. They did not realize that they are hurting both stupid students who think they are achieving and hardworking students who cannot see their progress.
