It’s not worth the money to send your kid here. The faculty is kind and caring, however the more important core classes (math and science) are incredibly poorly taught. I’m glad I graduated when I did because by the time I was a senior, most old faculty retired and the new teachers to come on board were not adequately prepared/qualified to teach the subject they were taking on, which does not benefit students whatsoever. Most advanced placement classes are a joke and not worth the struggle. So, I thought Holy Redeemer was a OK environment with nice faculty, good lunches, poor internet, poor style of discipline, less than satisfactory teaching coming from most teachers, and a great sports program. I left feeling incredibly underprepared for college after spending the nearly $40,000 in tuition and other various costs throughout the school year.
The best part about holy redeemer was that my friends were all there and they made it fun. Also that the teachers actually care about the students but the worst part about it was that it sucked and sometimes the faculty was annoying.
Not many opportunities are given to students, but more are starting to form. Student Sections and sports teams are very lively. Compared to other schools in the area, academics are above average
I love how easy the teachers are to approach. Holy Redeemer provides a lot of college level classes.
The student to teacher ratio helps kids to grow and learn new things everyday. This type of teaching is very rare and hard to to find, so the opportunity presented has helped me developed into an experienced unique individual. Along with others, we will be able to explore the world to its full potential.
I loved my experience at Holy Redeemer so for because every teacher is so friendly, the school has great school spirit and everyone is like family there. I had an awesome high school career even though half of my experience was taken away due to COVID, Holy Redeemer did an awesome job dealing with the adversity and making our school amazing. the sports teams are friendly, very competitive, and most teams have winning records. I loved Holy Redeemer and I would recommend it to anyone looking to go to a Catholic school in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Holy Redeemer High School is a mess. There are a few teachers there who Honestly made my life a such a difference and there are staff there who made it completely awful. The education was okay and the way we were taught was okay sometimes the school can be quite racist and homophobic. You will probably get the same education at a public school and it would be cheaper. I'm glad I am no longer a student there and wish the best luck to anyone who decides to go here.
The school community is very welcoming. The focus has always been on the students’ academic, social, and spiritual needs.
I enjoyed a private school setting much more than a public school setting. I enjoyed the variety of classes I was given to chose instead of the small amount I got to chose from at public school. I do feel as though a lot of colleges gave me less scholarships because i go to private school and they assumed I didnt need them. I wish I was given more scholarship opportunities from my school.
Would give 0 stars if that was an option. Terrible school. Very cheap for all the money they get from their students. Never have enough food for the students even though there’s about 500 students when even the new school has quadruple the size of students and still has enough food. Senior lunch gets sometimes don’t even get the options to have what all the other grade’s lunches is because they don’t have enough. Overpriced foods and bad quality. Not even enough parking spots in the parking lot. VERY EXPENSIVE PARKING!! There are some cool teachers but most of them care more about getting you in trouble than your education. Such as dress code, being clean shaven, hair length, etc. The new administration has been terrible.
If you want a good private school go to prep or sem.

The school is really nice. The classes don’t have a whole lot of flexibility and it has the same flaws any highschool would. It’s definitely above average and is good at preparing students for college. I would recommend going to Holy Redeemer even if you aren’t Catholic, which quite a few students aren’t.
Teachers care about students, inclusive environment, students very prepared for college . Very active extra-curricular activity list.
Love the passionate younger teachers. But the school is evil with the shoving of religion. If you’re not a DEVOUT roman catholic, don’t come here, it’s not worth it. Tech is pretty archaic too.
Holy Redeemer is a great school. The faculty are driven to help you succeed. They have a great sports program. There are a lot of opportunities to help those less fortunate. Covid-19, did change things a lot. Catholic school doesn't have the funding public school does. Better equipment and connectivity is needed.
Holy Redeemer High School excels in its academic program with teachers committed to making sure everyone succeeds. It also offers a wide array of sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities to make sure every student finds their niche.
This school has wonderful teachers! Also, the athletics are some of the best in the state. However, I feel like sometimes the faculty care more about our dress code than our education.
The teachers are mostly good, and food is great, if expensive. Expect them to wring as much money out of you as they can, but if you can afford it chances are it'll be worth it.
