Holy Redeemer Catholic School Reviews

Wide variety of popular activities. The building is in use until dark every night!
All teachers are good, many are great, and several are life-changing.
Graduates from Holy Redeemer uniformly go on to successful high school careers (whether public or Catholic high schools) and frequently return to brag about how easy Freshman year was thanks to the preparation they received at our little school.

While bullying is not a concern, the school has instituted a formal bullying prevention program that emphasizes Christian values of patience, mercy, understanding and forgiveness that helps continue the collegial environment.
Many school administrators and teachers have been trained (and are now themselves trainers at other schools) for school safety/emergency procedures and strategies. Police and Fire Department reps make regular visits to coordinate emergency procedures.
Classroom doors are locked at all times. Class doors have emergency curtains. School has buzz-through entrance and all visitors (including parent volunteers) must sign in and get badges.
Phone alert system lets parents know immediately of any neighborhood alerts and the lockdown status of the school (infrequent, of course)

For a smaller parochial elementary school, this place is busy before and after hours! Between the sports practices after school, the varied music offerings, chess, speech, multiple service clubs, youth faith groups, scouts, etc, sometimes it's harder to find parking after hours than during the school day!
With one class per grade level, the teachers work well collaboratively grouped as preschool (3 and 4 year old programs), primary (k-3), intermediate (4-5) and middle school (6-8). The range of student ages is used to advantage, with the teachers consciously fostering a family feel throughout the school.
