The teachers and staff are amazing. I loved learning and the classes offered. However, the student body is not the greatest. A few of my personal belongings were stolen by others, and some of my friends were bullied by other students at the school. Additionally, the school lacks diversity.
Amazing education and atmosphere provided along with rigorous courses that challenge students in their journey to college. Engages in many different subjects with the best teachers as mentors and college counselors guiding you throughout your path.
HIES is amazing and I feel so prepared for college and beyond!
I started here in PK3 and have been able to get involved in so many areas of student life, from student council, global trips and on the volleyball court. I'd recommend this school to anyone!

The school is great for academics and college prep. There are many opportunities to involve yourselves in and so many activities around the school. But I will say the school lacks diversity. Mostly among the student body but also within coaches. Administration seems to be making the efforts but their is not much change. Some of coaches do feel a little prejudice or favoritism based but overall the sports community is good. Clique like systems are inevitable at any private school because they are smaller but our school personally isn’t as bad then what I have heard at similar private schools. I would definitely recommend this school to others in hopes of college prep and taking on rigorous classes.
Excellent experience. Caring teachers who care about all of their students. Plenty of student activities to be involve in with a great environment to be a part of.
I have been at Holy Innocents' for 7 years and have loved it. I have learned so much in and out of the classroom and have been given incredible opportunities to become a better person and a better student.
Holy Innocents is a phenomenal school. Diverse and caring teachers. Facilities are great. As a senior, the college counselor program is awesome and excited to get the senior class. Although COVID has hit, the administration is being created to allow us to have some semblance of our senior year.
It's a fine school but consistently lacks in diversity and inclusion specifically among the student body and some teachers. Often it seems the administration is making efforts, but the culture of the school isn't changing. Overall a friendly community though. Not crazy challenging academically, but with more rigorous classes a difficult schedule is well attainable
HIES has been an excellent place for our daughter. As a fairly academically gifted child, the class offerings have been such a welcome challenge for her. It's the right amount of rigor, balanced with enthusiastic and encouraging teachers, and enough space for her to also just be a kid and enjoy school. It is possible to have strong academics without the pressure-cooker environment evident at several other schools, and we've absolutely found that at HIES.
In pursuit of better opportunities to prepare for undergraduate college studies, my family and I felt that it was to my advantage to transfer to Holy Innocents’ College Preparatory School. It affords me advanced educational opportunities, enriched institutional environment, and chances to participate in more diverse extracurricular activities. The transfer resulted in an overall enhanced high school educational experience.
This school looks amazing with its shiny new buildings and technology. However this school lacks identity, it tries to be something that it is not. For example, HIES tries to put it self as a religious school, but 80% of the students don't even understand communion. HIES creates a community where you either are rich and white, or you are not and you are outcast-ed by the clique like system that dictates your time at HIES. The students will only take a week to come up with a judgment of you, once that is set in you have little to no chance of losing that judgment. Along with the snarky and rude attitude of the students, punishment for behavior is nothing but a joke. When I attended HIES I witnessed serious bullying by a group of children. Even with evidence of extreme bullying, such as Facebook groups and hate posts, the staff would never take action. Why? Well if the students were punished the parents would leave and the school loses their paycheck.Terrible school with corruption.
It was the perfect school for me. It provided me with the environment to thrive and succeed. I wouldn't feel any more prepared for college at another school. I played football all four years at Holy Innocents and it has paved the way for me to be able to continue my football career in college. I believe that this school is thoroughly equipped with the personal and capital to make their students not just good students or good athletes, but great people.
Holy Innocents was an extremely helpful school and has prepared for college, and my future life. The teachers are very well trained on how to connect with the students so that the students listen and are active in almost every class. The only thing I would change is the school needs to improve the food and school spirit needs to go up a bit.
Holy Innocents has prepared me for college and it has given many tools to use and many long term relationships
Although Holy Innocents’ is an Episcopalian school, they still allow you to hold whatever religious beliefs you want. You don’t have to be Episcopalian to go there and they don’t try to make you become one either. It is also like one big family there, everyone knows each other. There also aren’t many cut sports, so you’re able to play multiple sports and try new ones also. They also have many different clubs to join and you can also created your own club very easily.
I can say that at Holy Innocents' they prepare you for college and give lots of tools. I would love to see more diversity at the school and for the sports teams to have better coaches to make the team feel more like a family.
Our child has attended since preschool, and we have been extremely pleased with HIES! Teachers have been wonderful, service experiences have been meaningful, and my child has been incredibly happy!
The people you meet in extracurricular and and clubs are very helpful and nice. Many of the teachers are amazing and genuinely care about you.
The majority of the students at HIES are terrible. There are many fight-based injuries on top of sports injuries such as concussions and broken noses. Almost everyone is disrespectful and the school is highly unorganized. They waste the budget for the grade levels within the first semester and don't do anything about things that are necessary such as being properly staffed and having working appliances.
I went to Holy Innocents' up until high school and am so glad I left. This school has no idea what it wants to be and is a total gimmick compared to the other Atlanta-area private schools. I highly recommend attending Woodward, Westminster, Lovett or Pace before going here. Also, they charge the same tuition price, without even having a football stadium, pool or other amenities. The teachers don't care and the students are mean. Also a big problem with JUULing and drugs.
