I begged my parents to send me to Holy Family rather than the public high school in my area because I wanted one on one attention from my teachers. I have never been naturally smart and learning concepts sometimes comes slowly for me and at Holy Family I have been able to succeed by being able to go in and work with teachers after hours. I have never been in an environment that is so comfortable. I've been scared or unwilling to talk to any teacher and I am sure that no matter what I struggle with, I will get through it and get the help I need. Although Holy Family is a college prep school and definitely has the work load that comes with that title, I have been able to obtain a 3.9 GPA with the help of the staff and students in all honors and AP courses. It is also fairly easy to assume leadership positions in clubs and or on sports teams if you put in the time and effort. An excellent place to become a leader!

I love Holy Family because it has turned my academic life around, something I never thought would happen. I have ADHD and diagnosed major depressive disorder, so getting my school work done had always been a struggle for me. I wasn't getting the support I needed until I moved to Holy Family mid junior year. Through this transition, I have improved my grades and mental health tremendously. Holy family has set me up for success by giving me the resources and knowledge to succeed later in life. The teachers are incredible, as they work around the clock to help students in any way possible. The hallways are calm and full of natural light. The only negative factor would be the lack of diversity in many different aspects. If I could go back in time, I would for sure start my freshman year at Holy Family.
I loved the size of my high school and the student body was very friendly. Most of the teachers were very understanding and were always willing to help you! Although the school is helpful, fun, and friendly some of the rules many did not agree with. These rules forced the students to conform and not be able to express themselves through the way they dress. They hindered many students from not being able to get a piercings, tattoos, or colored hair to express themselves. This was a problem for any because it was all about the image of the school and who ever said those things made a school have a bad image. These rules were making students who were interested in dyeing their hair or getting a piercing feel like they will be shamed. I personally had my nose pierced and was force to take it out and made to feel like a horrible person for having a simple jewel in my nose. These rules at the school are very discriminating and made many students unable to express themselves.
