My child has only known Holy Cross School. We have had various teachers throughout our time and unfortunately have not felt supported at the school. If you donate money and are able to learn in a neurotypical way than you can be successful. If you cannot follow the worksheets and the rigid routine you are not supported and welcomed. The school is small which can be a benefit but in this case there is only one option in each grade for a teacher and this option does not always match each students needs. The amout of homework and the level of work the students are doing is developmentally inappropriate and pushes kids beyond their abilities. We have been very unhappy with the education our child has received.
We toured several k-8 private Catholic Schools in the area. Something about HC drew us in. The ADW curriculum is the same across all the school but HC had a rigor and dedication that impressed us from the start. We have been here three years now and have met the most amazing community. I am so grateful for the other parents I have met that have become life long friends as well as the teachers and staff that have built this community. They did a fabulous job during the uncertainty with COVID and we were so impressed by how they handled everything and communicated with the students and parents. The motto is BE KIND and we took that and adopted it at home and it's been a big positive motivator for our children's' behavior. Can't say enough.
Holy Cross is an excellent welcoming school. The school is a top-notch Christian elementary school that does a fantastic job in preparing the kids for high school. The teachers are great and very caring.
Holy Cross School is amazing. The faculty and staff really care about the student’s success, and they set students up for that success. Five years ago, my son transitioned from a public school to Holy Cross and has come to love the HCS community. He has made leaps and bounds academically, religiously, and socially. He loves all of his teachers, and they love him right back. Sending him to HCS was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We love Holy Cross.
Students at Holy Cross School are academically challenged and nurtured in a disciplined, kind and loving environment.
My children attend the elementary and pre-kindergarten programs at Holy Cross schools. The staff is warm and welcoming, knowing each child's name from the first week even with a uniform and masks on! The curriculum is rigorous yet many fun classic elementary school activities are still integrated as much as the pandemic allows. For example, the students couldn't go to the pumpkin patch, so the pumpkin patch was brought to them! We feel very fortunate to have made the switch into Holy Cross School for elementary!
Holy Cross School is a Blue Ribbon school, as you can see from the sign at the entrance. What that sign doesn't tell you about is the deeply caring nature of all the teachers and administration at HCS. We couldn't imagine a safer, better learning environment (both academic and religious) for our children. Classes fill up fast at Holy Cross.
My son has been at Holy Cross Elementary since Pre-K and he is now in 4th grade there. We love all of the faculty and the diversity of the student body and the small class size. Their curriculum is excellent. They hold the children to a high standard both academically and socially, peer to peer. Their focus is on developing the "whole" child which we are grateful for.
Holy Cross is a welcoming, warm, positive and supportive environment. My son loves Holy Cross. His friends and teachers are absolutely wonderful. Academically it is incredible and the programs Holy Cross offers are fantastic. The open communication by and between the administration is too notch! We love Holy Cross and we feel grateful that our son is a part of this special place.
Catholic education was a formative experience in my own life, and when it was time to send my daughter to school, I sought the same nurturing environment, rigorous academics, and Christian values I had experienced as a child. I found them at Holy Cross.
I am grateful every day that we are part of the Holy Cross family. Our daughter wakes up eager to go to school. She enjoys learning from dedicated and inspiring teachers, interacting with a joyful group of friends, and participating in a range of extracurricular activities. She is growing academically and in her faith. Her father and I are also blessed to be part of a caring and engaged community of parents and educators. I couldn't be happier with our choice and recommend Holy Cross to anyone who will listen!

We have been a Holy Cross School family since 2007 and we could not be happier with our choice! We love Holy Cross for the people, the excellent academics, and the warm, inclusive culture. Our experience has been one of consistent excellence.
We are thrilled to be a part of the Holy Cross School community! The rigorous academics, technology integration, Catholic identity, and STEM program are outstanding. The school has a welcoming environment. Each teacher differentiates instruction to meet the needs of the students. The school offers above level mathematics starting in third grade. We love the school, faculty, administration, and parish!
Holy Cross has been a huge part of our family for fifteen years. We have two children that have graduated and two that are currently enrolled. We can’t say enough about the education, Christian values and love we have got from Holy Cross and the community. We love that they encourage family involvement through volunteering, they provide a safe Faith based Environment for our children.
The leadership-the Principal and Pastor-are both excellent. We appreciate that Holy Cross is a small, close knit community yet is extremely diverse and inclusive. Our family is very happy at Holy Cross School!
Our son attends Holy Cross in PK4. We could not be happier with the school - the faculty and staff, the environment - it is everything we would hope for in a school for our children. The community at Holy Cross is amazing - and we are so glad we found this school!
Both of our daughters attended Holy Cross School from Pre-K through 8th Grade. They received a top notch education in a warm, safe and nurturing environment. The Middle School science program is fantastic. This is one of the only Catholic schools that competes in the Montgomery County Science fair. They were well prepared by Holy Cross to excel in high school and beyond. Holy Cross was one of the best investments we made for our children!
When I enrolled my child I thought they would get the Catholic school experience that I had growing up. A warm, Christian family environment. Instead my child comes home saying words we do not allow in our home, which they learned at this Catholic school. The classes are out of control, even though the class size is average. Discipline is nil. Take a hard pass and put your child in public school.
