I attended Holy Cross for seven years and every day was a different story. All students were subject to bullying by any member of the football team, the football players have a special place in the administrators heart since they are the only reason someone would actually come to this school. The teachers that actually cared about academics were constantly interrupted and tormented by the ape like behavior of these men. If you are actually interested in academics i would advise you to choose any other private school in the San Antonio are because this schools only focus is football.
Holy Cross is a very small school which is something I love. The teacher to student ratio is very small, so we get to know our teachers very well. In this school everyone knows everyone so if you're new to the school everyone is very welcoming just like I was welcomed as my junior year was my first year. The only thing I would change about this school is the amount of resources. I love the connection as it is just like a big family. The Holy Cross alumni is very involved and this school carries a lot of traditions. Most of the staff were Holy Cross students and it just makes the school so much more tied together.
Choosing to attend Holy Cross has probably been one of the best decisions I've ever made. The teachers have been very helpful throughout the years and I am very thankful for each and every one of them. I simply feel that every time I leave my house every morning, I arrive at my second home once I get to school. Holy Cross exceeds in education and in my opinion has no rival in the values it offers of family and tradition. I have learned some of life's greatest lessons here and truly believe it made me the man I am today. When I am asked what school I attend, I proudly say I will soon be a graduate of Holy Cross. It is a school of family and pride, and that is something any current student and alumni will also tell you.
