Holmes County High School Reviews
Rating 4.09 out of 5 23 reviews
Holmes County High School is an OK school; I can’t really say it’s the best school since I went to a different school. The bathrooms are dirty, to be honest; they don’t even have real handwashing soaps. I think they use fake ones because they don’t bubble; they just slide off your hands. But the staff is very much appreciated; they try to make the school clean and are very nice. The teachers are great, but not all know how to teach. Foods are not it as well; I hope they’ll make it better because I don’t want the other students to experience what I have experienced. And the only good thing I can think of right now is that they keep the school really cold, which is what the people in the state of Florida want.
Holmes County High School is probably an average school in a low income area, with extracurricular activities taking into account many students may not have the funds to participate in them readily available. However, much of the staff, teachers and administration are out of touch with students. Making assumptions or not genuinely caring about their success, wellbeing, or future.
My experience at Holmes County High has, overall, been pretty good. The majority of teachers are exceptional and make sure that you have everything you need to prepare you for college and life in general; others, however, seem to just be working for the money. The atmosphere is very small-townish, welcoming, and fun. Homecoming here is the best experience you will have, and this school is very sports-oriented. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a nice, tight-knit, community-loving, safe, and fun school.
