Hollywood Hills High School Reviews
Rating 3.49 out of 5 421 reviews
Unfortunately, Hollywood Hills High School is one of the less fortunate schools in Broward County. The low budget prevents students from acquiring a better education, joining successful clubs, and sports compared to the other well funded schools in the county. Although, even with this setback, there is still a handful of knowledgeable teachers who try their best to provide techniques that will help students better understand the information that is being taught to them. However, their efforts sometimes end in vain since some students refuse to show up to school or stay awake in class due to the draining atmosphere surrounding the school. I’ve heard fellow classmates complain about a certain security guard that purposely bullies and picks on students, but is yet to be fired. These types of interactions cause the school to be looked down upon by students and parents. Our principal tries his best to transform Hollywood Hills into a respected school, but as of now there is no change.
On one hand, the school is very crowded and there is a lack of space when moving around, but at least you get to see your friends in the hallway a lot. The staff and teachers has diverse personalities and come from all different backgrounds. There is always something to do at school and it boils down to what you make of your time here. Either indulging with lots of clubs or grinding for higher SAT or ACT scores!
I liked a lot of things about Hollywood Hills including its very pristine and well known Entrepreneur and leadership military academy, also considered ELMA. I had the opportunity to indulge in this ELMA program and I loved it. But Hollywood hills although not having the best sports teams has a big passion for sports. The teachers are very good at this school treating every student well and holding discipline in all there classes. they offer a variety of clubs that help with service hours and things going around in the community. This school has so much to offer and definitely is taken good care of by a lot of administrators just like Mr. Daniel Most our Principal. Our Principal has so much school spirit and is always wishing us a good day once we are past the doors and on campus. The admin team also helps relay information very quickly and effectively to parents that are wondering what events the school has. Hollywood Hills is a great place both educationally and traditionally.
