Holly Springs High school is a fantastic student-focused school with many strengths. It is strong in academics, band and music, drama, sports and STEM. It's robotics team made state last year! The teachers are great, and the counselors are very helpful. It offers a lot of honors and AP classes. Parent participation is encouraged. Many opportunities are provided to help students with job hunting, choosing what college to attend, what classes to take, etc. The counselors have been very helpful supporting my son's 504 plan and ensuring he is given the accommodations he needs in the classroom and taking tests. A long lunch hour allows for extra time for teacher assistance during tutorials and juniors and seniors enjoy an open campus at lunch. The students are a good group of kids with some diversity.

I went here for all four years of high school and it was honestly the best experience. I miss it all the time! My sister is going to transfer from Apex Friendship to Holly Springs High next year and she is super excited. The arts department is amazing at this school and that was my favorite part of it. The theater and chorus programs were excellent and I am so glad I was able to be a part of them. I love going back to visit and meet with my old arts teachers. The academics are pretty good, not amazing, but good enough. The teachers are great though and they make sure you have a great time in high school, especially in junior and senior year. The staff are super sweet and always want to make sure everything is going smoothly and everyone is doing well. I wish they had better ways to get ready for college and the food wasn't great. But by far the best school I've ever been to and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
Holly Springs High School does an exceptional job of showing that they care about their students' success by providing them with several resources, such as free AP exams, monthly homeroom check-ins, and laptops in every classroom. They also develop this care through information sessions on advanced courses and college readiness. However, to enhance their impact on students, the school should provide more subject-specific classes/electives. As a current student, I feel that Holly Springs High School has failed in providing a wide variety of subject-specific courses that could supplement our decision in choosing a major in college or career in the future.
