Holly HIgh School has excellent technology provided to its students, including but not limited to, individual chromebooks, smart boards in every classroom, labs with dozens of macbooks and much more. This technology allows for students to be able to have easy access to resources. Alongside technology, the staff is committed and caring to all of the students. Connections are made everyday in the classroom.
I moved into the holly area school district in fourth grade and honestly it was the best thing my parents done. Im a senior graduating from the high school and the high school is such a wonderful place. I met so many people there and the staff is one i will always remember. The staff isnt just teachers you really start to get to know them as a person and grow a sort of comfort with them as they are pushing you to do your best.
The people at my school were always very nice and helpful. The teachers are always easy to talk to if you have any questions.
At Holly High School, there is a lot of opportunities for sports, clubs, and electives. Also, there is plenty of opportunities to take AP level classes.
I have loved my teachers and the learning environment. The students are all kind, and I have never faced bullying. The only downside is it feels honors students aren't catered too. It is hard to align challenging courses, and some are not offered in person.
Holly High School is a good high school and they really care about their students. The teachers are very nice and know mostly every kid they have had. Lots of fun people to be around.
I really enjoyed going to Holly High School. I went to another school for elementary school, but when I moved to Holly everyone was very friendly and welcoming. My transition to a new school was much easier than I had expected. Every teacher I had seemed to enjoy their job and really care about their students, so I knew that if I ever had an issue I had many trusted adults that I could go to if I needed it. The only changes that I would make to the school is some of the extracurricular activities. There are many clubs and programs, so one can always find something that they are interested in; however, some of the coaches who run some of the sports seem to care more about the sport than the athletes. Overall, Holly High School is a very friendly and supportive place.
My experience at Holly High School is nothing more than average. I was not challenged by most of classes and my teachers were all very adequate. We are one of the bigger schools in our region which is both an upside and a downside. Regardless of enrollment numbers the diversity was awful for both students and teachers.
I like that Holly high school has great programs and opportunities. For example, trade school. Not many schools offer this. It was an average experience going to Holly. Administration is great. No problem with anything or anyone there.
I love Holly High School. 9/10 times my teacher tried or did connect with me on a level outside of academics. They always were there to help or just be my friend. There are so many sports and clubs to choose from. My favorite part was all of the choices I had to pick from for my classes. I always wanted to take my classes then I could. Homecoming week was my favorite week of school every year. There was always so much going on that made school so fun!
Overall I had a really good experience at Holly High School and gained a very good education. I didn't experience any issues with peers or teachers. I always felt as though I had the ability to reach out and get the help I needed. I was able to take advanced, honors, and AP classes.
The school is a great size- not too big and not too small. Teachers and coaches actually care about the students and treat them like family. Lots of choices for classes.
I love the atmosphere and the student:faculty ratio. I love how I can walk into a classroom and the teacher knows my name.
The overall atmosphere and curriculum is good but it’s not very challenging. The music programs don’t get that much funding and hence suffer from it.
Why does Holly have a 'B' in diversity? This school is as white as a KKK rally. Even the staff are not diverse whatsoever.
If you are a person of color, this community is not for you, as the school really embodies a "small town" mindset (which so many white students are quick to praise unknowingly): provincial, stuck in the past, and woefully ignorant of societal inequalities. Remnants of prejudice continue to permeate throughout the school -- look no further than the parking lot, with trucks proudly bearing the Confederate flag.

I really liked attending Holly High School. My main issues with it was that the school is very focused on football (even though our team isn't good and other sports like tennis are). I think this is mainly the fault of our old athletic director. The other issue is that we don't have much money, which affects a lot of things. For example, our air conditioning and our boilers weren't working properly to thoroughly heat/cool the entire school. But overall, I love the school and most of the teachers.
Holly High School is a very good school, while focusing on academics and sport opportunities. Holly High School provides many AP classes and honors classes, which are very helpful for the students. Majority of the teachers are nice and qualified for the classes they teach, they are always willing to help students and provide good explanations for any student's question. The administration is very good and is always looking out for the best with their students, they always make safety a priority and keep the students prepared for any situation. Sports at Holly High are very good and many students participate and succeed in the sports provided. The Fine Arts programs also excel and continuously score high in their Festival competitions. Overall, Holly High School is a good school when thinking of the academics and programs, the students may not be as great.
