Holdrege High School is a great place to attend. You are able to learn many new things and achieve everything to the best of your ability.
There are really good teachers, along with great students. People get along and help push each other to reach their end goals.
Teachers are amazing and vey helpful. They really want to see you succeed. The amount of readiness they prepare you for is astounding. They will sit down with you and help plot out a career path or help guide you to a great future.
Overall HHS was average. While the academics were challenging enough, options were limited as the administration didn't see a need for possible electives in less common subjects (i.e. media). Most teachers were kind enough, but as per any school, there were a handful that were either disillusioned by the actual job or just shouldn't have been teachers. Basically, if you didn't go against the grain often, or at all, your experience would be at the very least okay.
This school as a whole leaves very much to be desires. They offer very few high level classes and their faculty is rather average.
The people in Holdrege High School are not very kind, students and teachers alike. However, Holdrege High School offers a lot of advanced classes and opportunities that many schools don't provide.
I loved the atmosphere at Holdege High School. Everyone really stands as one, from the sports team to the band. I couldn't ask for a better place to go to school. The only thing I would change it to have some 'honors' math classes and make two chemistry classes, one honor and one regular.
I enjoyed the excellency of our music program considering how small of a school it is. You get the opportunity of living in a small town but not too small. I wish we had more diversity within our schools though.
Holdrege High School is an excellent school for getting involved in activities, clubs, and other organizations. However, unneeded drama, schoolwork, and tests can arise and cause emotional strains on a student. Overall, not the worst school, but it could be better.
My experience at Holdrege High School has been pretty alright. It is a small enough school that you can be involved in all the activities and sports you want to be apart of, yet it is big enough that there are some people you could go all year without seeing in the hallways. They are also working on some things to modernize the school, which has been really nice to watch the past three years going on four.
I have really enjoyed my time in high school, and I would say that it is located in a great community.
Holdrege High School is a great small town, rural Nebraska city. It offers many opportunities whether you prefer sports or other extracurricular activities. The school is a very safe place to settle and has an inviting school system. The newly renovated front and signs of the school really bring a brighter, more open feel to the school day. Facilities in the high school have been kept very well. All of the bathrooms in the school were remodeled less than a year ago and bring a modern pop that the school needed. The school itself is not sparkling new by any way but it doesn't feel historic. Teachers are very qualified in their respective positions with one even being a NASA scientist. It's nice to know that I am truly learning from some of the smartest people, academically and in life skills. Overall Holdrege High School puts a good image of Holdrege into one building.
I loved going to school in Holdrege because of the close knit community we have. Growing up in a small town you know everyone and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I always knew that I had someone backing me on all my activities and sports.
I really loved my experience here. In fact, I moved away for five months and decided to come back because I missed my high school. The only problem was that I had three different band directors so details kept changing in class that I wan't too keen on. Other than that, I really enjoyed going to school here.
For the most part, bullying is not evident at my school. The teachers and students have worked hard to make this school a safe place.
For the size of school we are, there are many opportunities to get involved and most of the coaches make it so that students can be involved in more than one activity per season.
My school is just about the right size. There aren't too many kids that your classes as so full but there are enough kids that allow us to have many different class options.
