Holden High School Reviews
Rating 3.59 out of 5 27 reviews
It’s a small school so us highschoolers all know eachother and even the younger students. The place is like another home and we are all family. It’s easy to get along with the staff who are incredibly intelligent and sweet, and will also treat every student fairly. Some teachers are even like safe spaces for me and another set of parents who I can wholeheartedly trust. I wish the parish would support us more and give us more of the taxes so we can grow as not only a school but a community and family. We are very under looked by the school board even though we rank with some of the highest education on LEAP, finals, ACTs, and etc. Even with our high ranking we are last to look at and it honestly breaks all of our hearts because this school means so much to so many of us and is a safe space.
I used to attent here and I must say that there is so much room for improvement. Firstly, every single male's bathroom is disgusting and is cleaned rarely. Secondly, there are so many illegal things that go on in this school, from students vaping in almost every grade and students smoking weed to a few gangs and kids selling drugs. The bullying is off the charts and teachers do nothing. It's insane that such a small school can have so much bad.
We are a very close school although our students are very active in the community. We have an excellent set of athletes and we are all very proud and upbeat when it comes to us playing and our victories. This is a very small school so many people are very close and that’s what makes us a good school; we are protective of our school and people since we are family. Our overall scores on leap and and finals are fantastic we are known to have one of the best academics in Livingston Parish.
