Hinkley is a great school in it community. I give a special praise to the Principal Dr. Willis for striving to make Hinkley a competitive high school within our district. The programs at Hinkley prepare children for college and has a high expectation of it's student's, parents and staff. The school tries to keep you inform in all aspects. I see the passion in giving our children the best that's why I give this school a 5!

Hinkley is a really great school for kids interested in pathways and who know what they want to do in life. It's also great for finding your niche but the area and people can be misguiding. Most the staff is really great but sometimes it's difficult to get support especially from the IN coordinator. I love our pricipal he's one of the best and is genuinely interested and understands what kids are going through based on experiences he's had as a teen and openly shared with hinkley alumni. Some teachers need a little help in teaching styles, I believe they're great people but can sometimes belittle their kids or have no class control. Our CCA teachers are AWESOME especially math department and the counselors are amazing! IB lights pathway is one of the best if you're looking to go into anything with medicine and even if you don't choose to go IB, CCA will still get you so many credits and even the chance to graduate with an associates degree as well.
My experience may have been very different from other students who have attended there but in my opinion, Hinkley is an average school. Its academics are above average from the rest of the district and it is also very diverse. I have met with students from Ethiopia, Ghana, China, Korea, just to name a few. The teachers that I have had, for the most part, have been incredible, willing to help their students and helping them when they have trouble comprehending any of the material. Also, we have been given great opportunities to be college ready including having college classes and IB classes and having those credits transferred to the colleges of our choice. One thing that I would love to see change is the administration, the supporting staff and unprofessional and disrespectful to some of the students. Another thing I'd love to see change is the money going into the sports and academics so basically more funding for the entire school would be nice.
