COVID-19 Update for Prospective Students and Families:

In response to needs related to COVID-19, we intend to design a hybrid solution that incorporates both in-person learning and distance learning. A hybrid model of education will allow students to return to school for traditional classes, stay-at-home for live-feed distance learning, or a combination of both options dependent upon the safety and well-being of our community.

We have been at Hilton Head Prep for 3 years now, and my oldest is graduating from high school this spring. I highly recommend this school for numerous reasons. My child was able to take a wide variety of honors, AP and regular classes to suit her learning interests and capabilities. She was challenged to work hard and think outside her box. She had the opportunity to compete in sports at a high level, making three runs at a state championship. Her teachers were knowledgeable, and were helpful when there was something that she didn't understand. The administration is supportive, and I didn't see any signs of teacher burnout or unhappiness. My youngest is in middle school, and has the need for accommodations, and the school has worked with us without an issue to make sure that my student can be successful. The school is diverse both in ethnicity, and in educational ability, but somehow they make sure that every kid has an opportunity to attend college and be successful.

My son has been at Hilton Head Prep for 1 year now. From the start he was welcomed with open arms by the staff & students, as well as us as parents. What attracted us to HHP is the college prep structure, financial support, dedicated college advisor, smaller class sizes, up to date technology available, alumni academic & athletic scholarships, sports programs & coaches. Additionally the fact all core classes are at beginning of day, academic support in middle of day, and if you play a sport you have study hall at end of day to do homework. Dedicated teachers & staff make sure no student fails with the ability to ask for extra academic support at any time. Grades are reviewed by advisory once a week & discussed if falling behind. SAT & ACT preparation on campus available. Students are able to create their own clubs: FCA, bible group, chess group, sailing group.
I have had three children graduate from Prep and I can attest to the strength of the academics, the dedication of the teachers and the robust nature of the extra curricular activities especially in athletics and the arts. I was especially impressed with how much the teachers and administrators cared about the success and well being of all the students.
