Now a senior, I've been at Hilltop since freshman year and I have seen the environment change for the better. Students and teachers alike learn to adapt to a new learning environment. Students always look for a teacher whose goal is to help the student succeed. HHS is an older campus and funds aren't always where we wish they were, but we work with what we've got to make it a great place that turn into greater memories! There's a HUGE sense of pride. All students want to come and learn, receive an education that will help set them up for college. HHS students want to belong. With all the programs offered: FLAGS, Robotics, Hospitality & Tourism, Connect Crew, there's is a place for everyone. The student body is one and all admin are our rocks; supporting students mentally, emotionally, academically, and any other way you could think of. Lancer Pride can't be matched nor broken!

One of the programs that I truly enjoyed were the various languages offered - Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Latin, and Mandarin - which gave students such a variety to choose from for there language requirements. I also liked that our school had exchange programs with schools in different countries so we were able to meet students from Germany, France and so on who would share there culture and experiences with us as well as go abroad ourselves to gain new knowledge and experiences.

Some areas that I would like to see changes in the school are in the resources they have available. In regards to the resources I felt that there weren't enough opportunities in regards to planning for college. I felt that it was very much self navigated and there were only few people who had the time to walk alongside and help you through it all.
Hilltop Senior High School has been a great place where I've made lots of connections. I've had such a good time for the past three years with my friends (we setttled for the school cafeteria for our daily reunions).
The teachers I've had have all been kind and motivated, therefore, making me put more effort and interest in the classes I took. To this day, I still go every morning to my freshman biology teacher's class and am glad to meet her.
I love the FLAGS program at my school which allows me to learn foreign languages and study different cultures; this school offers the most foreign languages out of the whole school district!). Also the school spirit is something to look forward to (last week I dressed as a grandma and a skater) and the clubs and sports are amazing at how they form deep bonds between the members.
Something I would like to see more of is diversity. We are mostly Hispanic but we're all very open minded and welcoming, so don't be afraid to join our big family!
