I am a senior for the 2020-2021 school year. I have enjoyed my experience at Hillcrest very much, although there were a few things I did not like. Most of the teachers are kind and willing to help. Sports and other extra-curricular activities are widely available, so everyone has something that they can enjoy and do in their spare time. Personally, I am in the Thespian Society and have participated in Model UN in the past. There are electives for everyone, from Mythology to AP Computer Science. However, some of my past teachers have made me and my fellow students unwilling to participate or even go to class. I also feel as though too much attention is put on sports, especially our big ones, and not enough on the fine arts and academics.

Hillcrest high school is a diverse learning environment that throughly prepares students for the real world. At Hillcrest you can join lots of clubs, after school activities, or take a variety of electives. There is something for everyone here. Our schools support for sports and the arts is phenomenal. Our principles always do their best to attend every game or show. A more supportive staff doesn’t exist from principals to teachers to custodians. Hillcrest is also very proud of the diversity within the school. Every year a black history month program is conducted and students are able to learn about important African
American figures and how they influenced our lives today. The only downside to Hillcrest high school is the food. Although it is very nutritious the schools cafeteria food happens to be bland and tasteless. Overall Hillcrest is a wonderful school to gain an education.
Hillcrest has a very special place in my heart! I have had nothing short of the best 4 years at Hillcrest and have nothing but good things to say about the school. It's such a well rounded school with excellent teachers, administration, AP classes, classes that get you ready for the work force, sports, school spirit etc.
