This school is great except for the Spanish department. You better pray that you don't have Louise Head. She never prepare you for tests, she expects you to know EVERYTHING. She gives way too much homework as she gives 3 full page a day, and doesn't even cover the material that is on the homework. She also slaps a vocabulary sheet on your desk, makes you repeat the words, and you're done. TEST TOMORROW! There is usually two tests a week, most of the time you dont know about it because she writes it on the bored and does not tell you.

Hill-Murray School was an influential part of my education. The teachers I had were so amazing. Although the coarse work is exceptionally challenging, the teachers were available to help as they wanted me to succeed. A motto for Hill-Murray is "known, loved, and respected." As a community, the majority of people in the building strive to make everyone feel as if they are known, loved, and respected. Hill-Murray's other motto is "All guests welcome as Christ." Both motos work together and have similar meanings. They both say that every person deserves respect, also that the community should make everyone feel welcome. In my experience, the community at Hill-Murray made me feel welcome and respected since the first time I shadowed in ninth grade.
Hill Murray is an excellent school, involved parents and dedicated staff. Newer administration has made many positive changes. Updates in facilities, positive turnover in teachers and opportunity to give feedback on teachers. Your student is KNOWN in this school by most of the teachers and staff. When there are challenges, the staff is there to help. There is strong focus on building character. Academic assistance is available for those who want it. Teachers are open and always willing to work with the students. The Father's Club is a great way to connect and meet other parents. Highly recommend getting your student involved immediately in clubs/groups. Helps get the kids connected. Kids from this school are ready for the next steps in life. There are issues with some kids like every school, but staff usually does a great job. If your student wants to be known and cared for in a Christian environment. This is the place.
