We are so grateful we chose Hill Country Christian School initially because of the Christ-centered education focus and the feeling of home & community, but over the years our son has benefited from strong academics and opportunities to increase confidence & public speaking abilities through annual speech meets, Math Olympics, Art Festival, and the Regional Science Fair.
We truly appreciate the genuine love and care that all teachers and faculty/administration show for each student. Over the years we have seen academics expand, new programs in STEM and athletics introduced. Our decision to come to and stay at Hill Country Christian School has been especially validated during the COVID-19 shutdown & remote learning period. The school and teachers have done an amazing job providing an organized and high-level learning experience. Very impressive! As we transition to Middle School, we couldn't be happier and look forward to all the new and exciting things to come.

This is my fourth year attending Hill Country Christian School of Austin, and what a spectacular four years it has been. This school is fantastic. The teachers are phenomenal, my peers are friendly and non-judgmental, and the education I've received here is simply unparalleled. Every teacher sets high expectations for their students. In addition, each of them work diligently every week to expand their students' knowledge of the world and its history, language, politics and government, the sciences, and religion, particularly Christian theology. Meanwhile, my classmates, while studious and driven, are very friendly and inclusive, like a family. All courses, even non-honors/non-AP classes are challenging. At Hill Country, students learn to apply themselves, speak eloquently and persuasively, and become more Christ-like. I highly recommend.
I would say Hill Country is a great place to improve your academics and prepare for college academically but it is sorely lacking in extracurriculars. Athletics are ok, there is very little selection but that is normal for a private school. As far as money goes it's pretty good for what you pay. Many other private schools we interact with are much more expensive and still receive a similar quality education. Overall you should choose Hill Country if academics are your main concern and you have sports and/or extracurriculars outside of school.
