Small town school district with a big town learning experience! I attended this school district from second grade to my senior year. I finished with a 4.0 GPA, college class experience, and an excellent ACT score. I left feeling very prepared for college and credit much of my success to my English and Math teachers.

Everybody was friendly and the whole school seemed relaxed and laid back. One of the negative things was that my class mates weren’t motivated to work so I ended up basically doing the whole class project with a little help here and there. I was fine with it though, because nobody was objecting to my ideas on the project.
Every school has its bad sides; however, overall this school is excellent in education and athletics and rich in history. There is truly no other school like it. They have Smokey the Bear as their mascot and graduate at Mt. Rushmore National Memorial. They are also very tech driven and use technology whenever applicable. There are some very engaging and innovative classes like their AP English class along with their Math courses. Others, like their science department, are very dry and don't make you want to pursue a future in the field. Like most schools in America today, I believe that they are too focused on advancement in complex math and science courses that they don't focus as much as is needed on real, life improving courses and topics.
