Highland Park is a great school overall. All the staff and very caring and considerate. There has never been a dull moment with any of them there. I believe that for a student to be successful, the support needs to come not only from home but from our own teachers. I strongly believe that the staff at Highland Park, make education feel good and useful for our future!

It’s alright I guess. The people here are pretty nice but it seems like every other day I hear something bad about the administration. I’ve never been to another high school so I cant compare academics but It’s known for providing a quality education throughout the Saint Paul Public School district. The class sizes are not great though, it always feels like my classes have at least 35 other people in them and there’s a limited selection for electives compared to other schools.
I liked the environment and some of the teachers were a great support system. Highland offered many opportunities and resources for students to use. The students are incredibly welcoming and good workers. Highland has a group called “link crew” and they take in freshman and do activities with them to get them involved in school activities their first year. My experience with that was really good, I made amazing friends. Their quarter system was easy and it made it easier to stay on task. They offer a lot of help for low-income families and definitely take them into consideration. Their clubs and after school activities made me feel like I belonged and we did a variety of activities such as dancing, painting, and organizing events.
