My experience so far in High Tech High Chula Vista has been awesome! This school is project bases learning with real cooperative community learning experiences. I joined the Track and Field and Cross country freshman year and it was an experience I will never forget. Everyone is nice and caring and always looks out for one another. I am really enjoying my time in High Tech High Chula Vista even though we are now learning from our computers. My teachers this year have been super supportive with everyone because they know online learning can be challenging at times. Overall my experience with this school has been amazing so far.
High Tech High CV is like no other school! Coming from a traditional public middle school, I really appreciated how involved the teachers have been with us, the students. I’ve always loved art and hands-on learning, which is what High Tech is all about. Being able to expand on my creativity and critical thinking through individual and many group projects has really pushed me to become more resourceful, outgoing, and a better artist. I believe the academic learning is very rich and really will help us succeed in the “real world” due to the fact that we need; to make meaningful connections, work well and resourcefully with others, get involved with our community, and work hard for the opportunities we can give ourselves.
High Tech High Chula Vista is a Project-Based Learning school where students experience meaningful and rich project work. I really have enjoyed my past 4 years in the High Tech system, and definitely encourage others to apply there! This school has allowed me to grow as a student, but even more importantly as a human being.
