Commerce is what you make it. You can sink or swim it's on you but overall it's a good school you just have to make the best of it at Commerce it's easy to get off track, but they provide college readiness for those who want it Commerce offers many college classes called dual enrollment. also makes a game plan for each student to graduate.
Commerce is a overall alright school, the teachers were caring and always made sure we were good. It was just a over crowded school that definitely needed more attention.
My time in the High School of Commerce was a hectic four years. Each year was changed and I had to constantly to be flexible with it. The positive side was finding the good teachers and friends I made, shared memories and got along with some of the staff and administration. For hopes of the newcomers, be prepared for any possible changes and take chances of the choices that are given to you. That includes with the clubs, college readiness, and pep rallies to school assemblies. Enjoy while it last. :)
Some things very important to know about commerce is that on the outside it has a bad representation. Anything or at least most things you see about this high school is that its full of immature kids and fighting and that the teachers don't care but that's completely false. This school is appreciated by the students because they walked in with negative hopes and expecting too much but the teachers care for their students especially once you bond with your teachers and peers. It is GENUINELY a great school and i would never switch schools for the world.
My experience here was very good I got meet lots of new people through multiple activities they had ; like sports , after school programs etc . They had a lot of resources and easy to get to .
My name is Chante Dawkins i been at the high school of commerce sense my freshman year. My first year at commerce was my first year in the country so I didn't really know anyone but when i first went in the school i was a little scared at the but the teachers was so kind and the student was so interacting with each other.
The High school of Commerce is a good school. There are teachers that really care and there are some who just do their job for the money which affects the kids. I enjoyed having a few Teachers teachers that actually took the time to help me and go the extra mile. My overall experience was a 5/10 just because the highs school experience could have been better for sure.
The school is a trashcan, It had 0 funding for students and teachers didn't care. There was no school spirit and no funding for sports. College preparation was non-existent so I had to search for programs that could aid me like Upward Bound and 100 males to college.
I liked how it helped me step out my comfort zone in the four years there and there isn't anything to change about it.
My experience at the high school of Commerce wasn’t like I thought it will be I came in thinking high school was like “High school Musical “ nope I was wrong. I found myself finding myself but I still am and it wasn’t a bad experience things could be different.
It's a pretty good school. They have good and experienced teachers, as well as IB and Honours classes.
The sports are not so diverse, but the track team are good (they won the championship this year.)I have a lot of friends there,so it's a school I can confidently recommend.

Honestly commerce is a really good school.theres a lot of help and the counselors are always there to answer your questions about your education. The teachers are all helpful and I have bonded with a lot of them.
Attending the high school of commerce , is a very well overcoming experience it wasn't my first choice but was one of my back up schools. I've learned soo much from this school and glad to say i'm graduating from this school. The staff and teachers really truly care and are so welcoming and caring and as well loving to the students that really wanna achieve but also to those they wanna see graduate.
My experience at the high school of Commerce has been challenging yet exciting and full of amazement at the same time. After my first year as a full International Baccalaureate candidate, I was the first student to ever maintain straight A’s in this challenging program. I was able to establish clubs where students could share their voices and develop an essential impact with their communities through a debate club. I was able to speak to the city mayor and flatter him with all of the improvements and successes that my school has been striving to pursue in front of hundreds of individuals from the school district. I had been filmed in a documentary for the Springfield Public School channel regarding my personal opinion of stereotypes and judgments specifically in the High School of Commerce. This school has offered me a collection of opportunities that I would have never encountered if I were else where.
Super Friendly environment, Teachers that will do anything in their power to help you recieve a great education and reach all of your goals. Excellent IB program and counselors. I love all of the help students offer to each other and how much teachers care about their students in a personal way.
I think the High School Of Commerce is a great school, only issue I find is when students want to do something for their classes it's hard for them to be allowed to, overall that school is great, nice teachers and staff.
My experience at Commerce was nothing like any of other school I've been to. The crowd including the teachers are so diverse. Everyone was willing to help one another but the teachers would especially help the students any way they can, also genuinely caring for the students and wanting to see them succeed. Overall I feel the High School of Commerce needs to improve with getting the principal more involved with the students and activities also getting the administrators to become more strict instead of letting certain students do as they please.
