From High Mowing School

Founded in 1942, High Mowing School is an independent private, co-ed, day and boarding school set on a beautiful 300-acre campus atop Abbot Hill in Wilton, New Hampshire.

These are the enduring values that inspire and inform our curriculum and our work with students: Strong academic preparation as well as challenging, inspiring, and meaningful work; mastery through practice; and a balance of tradition and innovation. Imagination and creativity. Learning through multiple intelligences, joy, freedom, respect, and self-direction. Artistic development as a fundamental element of a healthy physical, emotional, and spiritual life. Social justice and environmental sustainability. Cultivating beauty and harmony in all aspects of our environment — physical, relational, local, and global. Individual uniqueness as well as a shared commitment to individual and collective responsibility. A safe, affirming, and vibrant environment for students, their parents, faculty, staff, and trustees.
