I attended Hidden Valley High School for junior and senior year, and I enjoyed both years. The teachers care about your education and personal life and interests. They support your decisions and are super friendly. Overall, great school!
At Hidden Valley High School, I had a good academic career. I finished with a good standing gpa and I was confident about my accomplishments. The faculty and staff made me feel like I could do anything while also criticizing when I needed it. The only factor keeping them from being a 5-star rating would be the lack of Black representation in their teachers. As a black student, I only knew one woman who was African American and she happened to be a teacher assistant whom I never personally had. All my teachers being caucasian made me feel uncomfortable at times but, in the end, never stopped me from trying my best at excelling.
Overall, Hidden Valley High School is a considerably well off school. In comparison to the other high schools in my area, Hidden valley's education and student performance is of a higher caliber, and the facilities are of adequate quality. However, the motivation in a handful of teachers is, in my opinion, sub-par. Though this characteristic goes to be present in many, if not all, schools, I consider there to be a surplus of this type of teacher in mine. Thus, many classes are spent on watered down assignments and projects that do not entirely relate to the subject matter at hand. If this problem was addressed, perhaps through a discussion of pay, I predict that the efficiency of Hidden Valley High School would significantly rise.
