Academics ensure students are learning on their level and retaining info/skills. Teachers are involved and truly care about students. Clubs/activities could be better. School culture is unique. Sports for Hibbett could be better. Community resources for Hibbett are unbelievable. Parent involvement is growing. Music/arts are available to all students and instructed by certified teachers in each area. It is very diverse. College readiness is evident by the resources/clubs that are available to students (math team, gifted, etc.). Safety of students is the most important thing to staff. Doors remain locked at all times, procedures are practiced on a monthly basis, and majority of students feel safe while they are at school. The admin is involved and truly care for the students/teachers. FREE breakfast and lunch are made available to all students. The facilities are outdated, but custodial staff does great of keeping it clean. Science, Tech, and Math are evident on a daily basis at Hibbett
We have a WONDERFUL faculty/support staff who want to see ALL of our students succeed. Most of our faculty members hold advanced degrees and/or continue working toward higher levels of certification. Our faculty works within the parameters set by our board of education and under the direct guidance of a principal and assistant principal to provide strong academic instruction. But that's only part of our story.
Each member of our faculty team seeks the best outcome for EVERY student on campus. Our students come to us from diverse home situations. Some students receive outstanding support and encouragement at home. For others, we provide a large part of their support and encouragement in areas of personal/emotional growth as well as academic endeavor. Those students whose home lives do not embrace "formal education" need us the most. Our faculty works diligently to meet the needs of those students as well. I'm proud to be a member of the Hibbett Intermediate School family.

This is our 3rd child at Hibbett. Our first had a terrible experience! However, FCS changed administration at this school and it is a different place! This school runs like a well oiled machine! COVID has not even slowed them down. Our 2nd child had a great experience and our 3rd is absolutely loving it!
