Growing up, I attended 4 different schools. I found the finest school to be Hewitt Trussville. Instead of setting limits on my learning abilities, this school and the staff set goals. I was provided with endless opportunities to better my education and achieve my current goals. The teachers and other staff members worked to the best of their ability each day to ensure to students that there was always space to grow. They pushed me to grow in my academics and my character. Attending this school prepared me for challenging adventures, such as college. Hewitt Trussville offered me all this within a safe environment.

Hewitt is a great school to attend and has many clubs and activities to be a part of. However, personally, I feel like the schools main priority is the football team and puts any and everything else under. The staff is friendly and actually gets to know you. The AP classes are excellent and has many opportunities and resources to allow you to prepare for college. The school is very safe!
Trussville, Alabama is a great place to grow up. The small suburb sits just outside of Birmingham, and is home to 20,000 residents. In this small community, residents are more than friends and neighbors. They are more like family.
Hewitt-Trussville High School exemplifies this sense of community. Faculty aide in supporting traditions, that foster a school culture of pride. Sporting events as well as festivals and student-led community service projects allow HTHS students to build bonds amongst themselves and with their community at large.
Academics are also a large part of the HTHS tradition. Hewitt-Trussville students are offered a range of honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes to chose from. In fact, the majority of HTHS students are enrolled in Advanced Placement Courses, with an AP participation rate of 55 percent. HTHS teachers are committed to helping students succeed, and small class sizes make it possible for students to reach their fullest potential.
