Overall a good school in a more secluded area. They really push for attending a 4 year and 2 year but don't help students look at other options. If you don't want to go to a college like that they don't help you at all and make you feel bad about yourself. Being involved in sports or a club is the best thing at the school because you get treated like a diamond. But besides that there are a lot of good programs to join such as AVID and FFA. The school itself is nice and newer compared to the rest in the area. Some teachers are helpful and you can tell actually care, but not all.
My experience with Heritage High was truly a gift. While I struggled in school to understand and work, all and I do mean all, of my teachers worked with me so that I could improve. They challenged me, and worked to show me not only how to be a better student, but have a deeper empathetic understanding of both academics and others. The students I interacted with in clubs, lunch, and class we're intelligent, funny, and respectful of differing views and ideas.
Heritage has top notch academics, culture, extracurricular activities and conduct. The students, referred to as scholars, are intelligent, respectful, engaged and happy. After 30 years of experience with other schools, I have been far more impressed by Heritage than any other school.
