I transferred to this school because of its FREE CTE classes. You can take the EKG Technician class and the Medical Assistant class during your junior and senior years of high school. They provide externships to qualifying students, and the school pays for your NCCT testing to become certified. The classes are very hands-on, and the instructor is very insightful and has a lot of experience in those fields. This is a great opportunity for students that are interested in the medical field, and there are also many opportunities to go on field trips to colleges and hospitals.

Regarding the school as a whole, I would say that the curriculum is not as strong as in a traditional public high school. Heritage Peak Charter School does not offer Honors or AP classes, but it does give you opportunities to enroll in dual education by taking up to 2 college classes per semester. The teachers on campus are very kind and give every student the individualized support they need.

Heritage Peak Charter School is THE BEST school that any of my 5 children have attended. The teachers are real and present to their students. That means they have real relationships with each student individually. I'm always impressed by the amount of time they give to my kids. Either classroom time or texting or phone calls they are always there for them. This has been proven by the amount of growth my daughter has shown in just the last year. And now she loves to read and loves science!
I also have to say that well, we all know that it's the management that trickles down to the employees... I have a huge suspicion that it's the principle that leads the teachers and the students. She is so sweet and so smart. I'm very impressed!
Very great staff! They form curriculum plans based on the students and help them learn everything. Malika Hollinside is the best teacher. Christine Spratling is the best counselor. Both of these women had an immense impact on my education.
