Facilities/campus are nice, food quality on the other hand is quiet poor. They served typical fast food.
The teachers were my favorite part of my time at that school, english, drama, and science had some of the best instructors during my time. Engaging, fun, and enjoyable to learn.
The administration on the other hand was a bit hands off, because the highschool is so large, there are literally more than a 1000 students. Between 1000-2000 students.
So student culture is really just that, its so big, that you could float along and not get noticed if you wanted to. It can also make it hard to get around, you kind of get lost in the crowd. I thought the place was a college than a high school.
You’ll find good people, form close friendships, keep your circle small and intimate, and focus on the teachers that care. Thats what matters while you’re making your way through high school. Good luck!

I am currently a Sophomore at UC Santa Barbara and I had a great experience at Heritage high school. Heritage is a very big school with a really big student population which I liked a lot. My academic experience was great because I had opportunities to take college courses for college credit and AP classes. Heritage is also an AVID demonstration school and I was in AVID for all four years which increased my overall experience. I was also in the robotics club that has six different robotics teams that also heavily contributed to my overall experience at Heritage. I met great friends and teachers that I still talk to. There are a lot of amazing teachers at Heritage that really care about their students, make themselves available for help outside the classroom, and overall teach their class very well. The school spirit at Heritage is also very lively which creates a sense of pride. Lastly, the drama department is very established with their plays/musicals looking professional.
For that past four years, Heritage High School has been average and great place, personally. Entering high school I was a shy and quiet individual that was not involved in anything around campus. However, as sophomore year came around, I decided to change for the better. My first step to that was to start being involved in school. Joining sports and clubs allowed me to learn some skills and lessons as well creating and developing really close friendships with a few people. Besides that, the school, especially the AVID program introduced me to the terms “university” and “college”. If it weren’t for them, I would be completely lost at this very moment, as a senior graduating from high school wondering what to do with my life. In conclusion, for the students that will be a freshman in high school soon or individuals that haven’t made the effort to get out of their comfort zone, just do it. It a great experience to be involved, in general.
