Heritage High School has been an amazing experience for me personally! The teachers have gone above and beyond to help me with my learning disability, dyslexia. Frisco Independent School District diagnosed me with dyslexia in elementary school. I was able to overcome and learn tools to help me read and write at my grade level. I was chosen for yearbook at Heritage High School my Sophomore year. It changed my life forever . I found my passion and I am currently Editor and Chief of the Yearbook for my Senior year. I was recently accepted and enrolled into a Four Year college at a Private Christian University, Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida ! My major will be Digital Journalism. I am proud of my grade point average that I’ve achieved at Heritage High School, a 3.8. I have 6 Hours of college classes completed due to the fact my high school pushes it’s students to their fullest potential. It’s changed my life’s journey!

Overall, Heritage High School is an exceptional facility to obtain a high school diploma. The teachers are understanding, and there is a heavy emphasis on character and academics. The classes are a perfect size which gives all students a chance to equally participate. One downside is that there is too much sheltering from the real world. Classes shy away from discussing real-world topics and issues, and when they do, it is very brief and not informative. Additionally, the retesting system gives students a cushion which I believe they rely too heavily on. This is not representative of college, where if you do poorly, there is no second chance. There are a ton of extracurricular activities for students to partake in, and competitive events that can even get students nationally recognized. I feel as if the school does an amazing job of preparing students for these events, ensuring success.
This school was really great, I really loved the traditions at this school and I loved the constant competition to really keep my grades in check! The only thing though, is there's so many people who attend this school, you don't really know anyone there, and if you do, its like finding needle in a haystack.
