My experience at Henry Senior High School is average because if you are that type of student to just "do what you have to do" then it's a decent school. My freshman and sophomore year was quite easy but then my junior year was very hectic because I was involved with a lot of after school activities such as College Possible and Asian Culture Club. My whole junior was helping me prep and take the ACT's. My senior is quite stressful trying to maintain an overall passing grade, applying to college's and scholarships and seeing if I got accepted to any that I had applied to. I would say that the programs that Henry provides is really helpful and students should take it to their advantage! With every high school, there are con's as well so, some con's that come with this school is that a lot of students like to walk around the hallways and disrupt classes with their loudness. Their is some tension with race as well, as there is a predominantly high rate of Black and Asian students.

Going to Henry is all about the sense of community you develop with your peers and the amazing experience of being involved with all the extracurricular activities. Its easily the best part of the school, but that best part can be brought down by the teenagers frequent brawls and funding cuts that often befall the school. It clearly takes its toll on the people in charge, who try their hardest to bring the school together but are forced to intervene when the fights occur. I believe they could do so much more with the school if they were given more funding to accomplish it.
I have gone to Henry Senior High for all my 4 years of high school. The students at Henry Senior High knows the school as Patrick Henry High School. We consider our student bodies as a PHamily. Families fight and argues, but at the end of the day we come together and work things out. I took my classes and grades seriously. I grew up loving school and always want to go to school that I even went to summer school every year I can. As high school went on it got boring. I never really found learning fun anymore. I think its because Henry High lacks the fun in teaching. Some teachers made it fun, but most teachers just threw packets at us and made us watch videos. I easily get along with teachers, but sometimes the students there makes my head want to explode because every single year, the attitudes of these new freshman's are getting worst. They are so disrespectful and as a older classmate it makes me irritated. Overall Henry High is a decent school, but it's just starting to fall apart.
