We LOVE this School! The Principal, Teachers and Staff feel like a real team working efficiently together and proud to be part of the community. The school is demanding yet fun and makes an effort to reinforce positive values and a sense of community. As a parent, I participate as volunteer in most activities and feel kids are highly motivated and there is a safe environment in which to flourish with lots of positive reinforcement from the School. The only negative remark would be that I am a little disappointed in many parents that do not participate as much as they could or that try to put personal needs before the good of our school community but that is in no way the School’s fault. They do miracles with resources at hand and take an interest in every particular child to achieve their top potential and support them in areas in need of extra effort.
I feel the school all around is an excellent school. Like any other school it will have things you aren't happy with, but overall I am satisfied. The teachers are very tough academically, but as a parent I am grateful for that, because the expectations nowadays are much higher than years ago. Most of the teachers have been there 15 plus years, so that may be a downside depending on how you see it. Some are very set in their ways, but on the bright side they don't let a lot of nonsense you see in school go on. They remind me of the teachers I had when I was in elementary school. They could have more variety when it comes to afterschool activities, but they are working on that. In the end, the children will leave this schools academically prepared for challenging subjects and well mannered. The children also create close knit friendships, because of the school size. The parents maintain an open communication and so do teachers.
My child has been at that school since kindergarten and I have to say that I am very happy with the outcome thus far. The school is challenging academically, nothing impossible to keep up with, but you have stay on top of homework to not fall behind. Parents and teachers are mutually involved. Kids create close knit relationships. Parent involvement is excellent. Honestly, since the student count is low everyone knows each other and that creates a safe haven for your child.
