At Henry High School, I like the emphasis on the academic excellence among the students. The teachers, counselors, and administration push for the students to make an effort in their studies, and challenge themselves in their classes. If there were to be something to change at Henry, I think it should be a more encouraging attitude towards being involved. I think that sports, clubs, and other extra-curricular activities need to be promoted and accepted by students, teachers, and administrators.

I came to this school during the beginning of the second semester of my sophomore year. Although I did not take a lot of AP classes, only 3, the teachers in the advanced and regular classes were more than helpful. They understood that English is not my first language and made sure that my English skills will exponentially improve and it did. Moreover, there are many labs and presentation that we did in the science and English classes that helped me to understand the topic in a different perspective which eventually greatly helped me.
Patrick Henry has excellent academics - with a range of classes ranging from AP and Honors, to various technical trade tracks for students not interested in attending college after graduation. In addition to primary courses, Henry offers numerous foreign languages and fun electives. Henry has a robust athletics department and dozens of clubs. School spirit bring all grades together to build a great community.
