My experience at Hendrickson has been as positive as any high school experience can be- kind teachers and staff, great programs (although HHS does not, unfortunately, have an orchestra), and relatively fair school rules. It's also in a pretty great area, so I've never seen any safety issues there. Go Hawks!

Overall, it's a good school. Many of the teachers we're amazing- encouraging individual growth beyond the TEKS and specific interests. When the teachers we're good, they were amazing. When they weren't as good, in my opinion, they were horrible. Unfortunately, the rapid development of PFISD had over crowded the school by more than 2,500+ students. This led to more students in each class and putting up a ton of portables.
It did in some ways prepare for college, but the opposite also applied. The AP classes were thorough but still had to follow the schools policy on grades, which is unfortunate because universities do not function with parents and administration constantly meddling in the classes.
Hendrickson High school is an amazing cool with many pros and only a few cons. When it comes to the benefits, there are many academic programs that help students get a better grip on what they want to do when they graduate high school whether they want to go into the medical field, or go into construction the fields of study that Hendrickson offers are nearly limitless. The school also has an excellent set of staff with many teachers having been so for more than 10+ years, and the clubs/activities provided to students are also phenomenal. Now it's time for the cons, and as previously states there aren't too many. The school used to have way more language classes to take such as Latin and Chinese, but due to a lack of funding these classes were removed from the roster. Another con is the lack of any real school culture and little parental involvement in the school. Overall Hendrickson is a great school with many benefits and a few problems that I would recommend to anyone.
