Hendersonville High School provides many opportunities to its students; however, coming from a more liberal area the school can be a bit rigid. The teachers are wonderful, and there are options for many subjects of study, but concepts like gender and sexuality diversity and being able to safely not belong to a monotheistic religion are lacking. I still had a great experience whilst as I was there. I was involved in many extracurriculars and was even able to go to workshops (that taught subjects relavent to my acedmic focus) paid for by the school! There’s a ton of school spirit as well, you can have a great time here if you apply yourself.

Hendersonville High School is a very fun place to get your high school education. They have so many things to be involved in school wide. Students are able to be on the sports teams, join multiple clubs, be a part of the student government, and so much more. The teachers at Hendersonville are also very hardworking and understanding. They work with the students to ensure that they all have the best experience they possibly can. I have made so many of my best friends at Hendersonville High School throughout the years and I am so grateful that the school allowed me to do so. While I am not completely done with my senior year, I will admit that I am going to be sad to leave this school and the wonderful students as well as the staff that I have grown to love and appreciate very much. Hendersonville is definitely a great place for high schoolers to learn and grow into who they want to continue to be.
Hendersonville High School is a very good example of what a public school looks like, across the board. However, there are a few things that many schools in the area don’t offer/aren’t the same. For example, many of the teachers genuinely care about student learning, and apply various teaching methods so no one is left behind. Kids can come in early, or after school, or sometime during the day to catch up on missing/late/not understood work. We offer a large variety of AP classes, as well as the Capstone Program, which very few schools in our district offer. Our arts department are highly regarded, and feel like small communities. This school is designed to help kids succeed and it does just that. From clubs to sports to academics to arts, there’s always something to do.
