Henderson challenges students to get them to reach their full potential. After relocating to Pennsylvania, I entered my sophomore year thinking it would be difficult to make friends since people already had friend groups from the previous year. But many students were very welcoming. The counselors and administrators helped me find people and clubs that fostered getting to know others. Teachers get students the help they need. If you ask, they will do their best to help you. Everyone's experience is different in terms of grades and college readiness, but overall, alumni have said that Henderson prepared them well. Diversity is definitely an issue for me, but I don’t believe it’s the school’s fault. We have clubs like the Jewish Student Union and Black Student Union, however I still feel underrepresented in many ways and faced or witnessed many racial injustices. The staff work hard to avoid this from happening and support minority students.

I love Henderson High School, everything from the people that attend the school to the look of it. Henderson has recently been renovated which gives a clean new look, also the location of the school is perfect. The school is located right next to the town of West Chester, typically on Friday's students will go into town and get lunch with their peers after school. There are also a wide variety of offered, once you reach your junior and senior year, the amount of classes offered increase greatly. The staff is also great, all the teachers offer extra help after class and create a fun atmosphere to learn. My favorite thing about Henderson is school spirit, all the students that attend Henderson have great school spirit which makes pep rally and football games some of the best times at Henderson High School.
I’m going to be a senior (2019-2020) and my experience at this school wasn’t horrible, in fact it was really fun with my friends by my side, but there are some teachers who don’t understand that some students struggle at something the whole class doesn’t struggle at. The peers are exceptionally open to making new friends no matter what grade they’re in, the only issue I have with the school is that some teachers aren’t helpful when you struggle at a “simple” problem. It’s a great school with many clubs and classes to offer to every unique student.
