My high school time spent at Helix High School was phenomenal. I felt that I was able to grow as a person in aspects regarding socially, academically, and athletically. I recall being a lonely freshman, nervous to engage with people with the fear that I would not be able to find a group of friends that would accept me. My cynical views would not last forever, I joined my school's cross country team. Here, I met caring and hardworking students. We grew and bonded through our endurance training, supporting each other through our sport and academics. Our teammates encouraged each other to enroll in rigorous courses such as AP English and community college courses. I have received tremendous amounts of support from my teammates, friends, and our administration. Overall, I feel blesses to have attended Helix because I know I would not have found the opportunities given to me at other local schools.

Helix was a great school! Graduating from helix was such an accomplishment and knowing I was prepared for college. I mastered giving and preparing for speeches. As well as researching reliable sources and writing 10page research papers. Helix is a very college driven school and every student that graduates from there definitely leaves prepared for college. The school is very diverse although there were cases of bullying everyone knew everyone and A majority of people supported everyone cheered everyone on in sports, performances, academics, and so much more.
Being a Senior at Helix, I have experienced all of what the school has to offer, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The feeling of the campus with the staff and admin make for a very welcoming environment, and since freshman year, students are encouraged to show school spirit and be proud of their school. The school spirit that students of all grades show here is amazing. The academics here are excellent, offering many opportunities for AP and Honors classes, as well as Dual Enrollment College Courses. The staff at Helix are driven to have their students achieve excellence throughout their four years, and continue it through college. The focus on getting to college is emphasized much more at Helix than in other high schools. Overall, my experience at Helix has definitely been one to remember.
