We come to Heartland from homeschooling through elementary and middle school. We—parents and students—are very pleased with this high school. The math and science classes especially have given my students the challenge they need to grow intellectually. The school environment is ideal for teens navigating entry into the larger world. The teachers and coaches are attentive, invested, and interested in working with us as parents to build character and teach virtue.

What’s more: my kids wake up every morning glad to go to school. It’s a fun, positive, encouraging place to learn. They like their teachers as much as they like their friends. Worth every penny.

Heartland Lutheran High School not only changed the lives of my children but also my entire family with their welcoming, family, and Christ filled environment. It was the best decision my family ever made and the best investment in our children.
The school is hands down the most caring environment I have ever been involved in. My children did not start their high school education at Heartland Lutheran but when they transferred in they truly flourished. They struggled in the beginning with the higher expectations and greater rigor of the school work, but the teachers were there for them and worked for and with them every day. The community of the school: students, teachers, administrators, and other families were extremely supportive of my students and myself through my illness and found ways to always be uplifting and helpful.
Mr. Leech is the bomb! He listens to students and cares about their opinions. He finds ways to mix school up and make it fun. He is exactly what you want in a principal. He expects a lot out of his students, teachers, and other people. More than I thought was fair, but he was right, we are capable of a lot more than we thought. His quotes are ok, jokes are worse than my dads though.
