Going to Health Careers is probably my best educational decision I've made in my life thus far. I've made so many connections with my teachers and peers, and fitting in isn't really a problem as it is so diverse. Academically speaking, HC has prepared me for college way more than any other normal high school would have been able to. Everyone is so helpful and we all understand each other as we all go through the same struggles with school. There are no team sports so we do miss out on "normal" high school experiences like homecoming and football games, however, in the sports we do have we are the absolute best! Personally, I am on the bowling team and our Varsity Girls are the most dedicated and talented in our city having traveled to Nationals for the past 3 years. I definitely recommend sending students there if education is first and foremost for them and their families.

Health Careers High School provided a close-knit and motivated environment that pushed me to succeed academically, alongside my diverse peers. Although the school lacks in size, sports, and certain resources many larger schools possess, the quality of education received at this school and the supportive environment certainly makes those factors less significant!
Health Careers High School is rated the number one public school in San Antonio, Texas. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Health Careers has rigorous academic courses. Attending Health Careers will prepare you for college and life. Although Health Careers is not sports orientated, it still offers a high school experience. We have a prom, lots of clubs, powder puff, and some sports. Health Careers High School also presents unique opportunities. Juniors and seniors attend clinical rotations either at a local hospital or at our campus. Students have opportunities to get medical certifications such as sterilization and medical assistant. Health Careers is an excellent school in both academics and extracurriculars.
