I've loved Health Careers since the first day. I'm a very shy and timid person, but everyone at Health Careers was so warm and welcoming. The teachers are challenging but they are also welcoming. They are here to help you succeed. They are also really understanding and supportive. We don't have many sports, but we have lots of fun clubs and activities! The dances and pep rallies are so much fun here! Everyone one is laughing and having a good time! As a freshman, I've learned and gained so much from this school than I ever have anywhere else. I truly love Health Careers and it has changed me from a self-hating introvert into a strong and confident extrovert!

HCHS is an amazing and diverse community. The teachers truly care about the students and are always there to help. The students are mature, responsible and accepting of everyone. It is extremely easy to find friends and feel at home. I am not going to lie, the work load is difficult, but the counselors, teachers and your peers will all be there to support and help you. They even have programs like FLEX and phoenix learning center (PLC) for tutoring and just time to work on homework. The only downside to the school is that it is an older building so the rooms tend to be very cold so be sure to bring a jacket. Overall, I am so happy I that I go here! If you want to be somewhere where you will be academically challenged, and be part of a small close-knit environment then HCHS is the place for you!
Going to Health Careers is probably my best educational decision I've made in my life thus far. I've made so many connections with my teachers and peers, and fitting in isn't really a problem as it is so diverse. Academically speaking, HC has prepared me for college way more than any other normal high school would have been able to. Everyone is so helpful and we all understand each other as we all go through the same struggles with school. There are no team sports so we do miss out on "normal" high school experiences like homecoming and football games, however, in the sports we do have we are the absolute best! Personally, I am on the bowling team and our Varsity Girls are the most dedicated and talented in our city having traveled to Nationals for the past 3 years. I definitely recommend sending students there if education is first and foremost for them and their families.
