Hazlehurst High School is like no other. The school system taught me how to be an active citizen and respectful young lady. We pride ourselves on discipline. Even though we was not the smartest school district, we strived for academic achievements. I mostly love that we were challenged to be a “student athlete” not just an “athlete”. Student athlete had to put their work first and if you did not meet the requirements to play, you did not play.

Hazlehust high school staff treats students like their own and try to encourage them to act like proper young men and women. The administration office is always ready to help parents or students with information or needs.
Hazlehurst high school is a good school but it need some improvements. We need healthy food choices. We need more books. We need more access to the internet at school. Some of the buildings need to be remodeled.
