My over all experience at Hazel Green High was amazing! I learned so many things throughout the past four years of my life. I couldn't of asked for better teachers honestly. I believe that was the most important part for me, building that bound between my teachers. They were more than just ''my teacher''. They were someone I could go to for advice and know that they were gonna be honest. I knew my teachers had my back. My friend got kicked out of her house because of family issues. Her guardians took everything from her. She talked with the concealer about her concerns with transportation to school because they took her car. The next day a teacher let her "barrow" one of their cars until she could save to get her own. Every week that teacher gave her $20 for gas so she wouldn't have to worry about it. That is how amazing my school has been for not only me but many other students i go to school with. I am so glad i go to Hazel Green.

Hazel Green High School is a wonderful place to be! I would say that from the ruralness of the area the diversity within the school is not as diverse as other schools. Though the students are not diverse statistically, the community and school is welcoming of all cultures.
I think I had a pretty average high school experience. There were good and bad things, but one of the best parts about Hazel Green is the band program. It provided me a chance to make friends that had the same interests as me and that I am still friends with two years into college. Being in the band taught me discipline and that you have to work hard for success. One of the things I think Hazel Green could work on is preparing kids for college. While I think many of the teachers there are amazing, they did not do much to prepare me for college. I had to learn study skills and time management associated with studying during my first year at college. On the acedemic side of things, I think the teachers at Hazel Green do a wonderful job. I was at the level I needed to be to understand concepts when I got to college, but I think they could do a better job of teaching kids successful study habits and tools.
