Hayward High School Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 64 reviews
Hayward High School has a very engaging group of students at it which makes everyone feel included and make an enjoyable dynamic at sports games. Hayward High School offers extracurriculars in addition to normal classes. There are many advanced-type classes available, whether it be AP classes or Honors classes. The school has taught me what it takes to be pushed and succeed. It has prepared me for whatever comes next in my life. The Athletic Code and Student Handbook with alcohol and drug-related issues need to be focused on a little more. Other issues are backpacks and music. Backpacks aren't allowed and must be left in lockers. It is very frustrating and the rule should be adjusted. Also, there is a "no headphone" policy. This rule should be amended. Overall, Hayward High School is a very good place to go to school. There are so many opportunities available to students and it is a fun place to be.
For a small community we have good schools and community to grow up and learn in. K-12 we have 4 separate buildings so school kids don't feel overwhelmed with upper classman around. All schools work well with one another for programs and other community events so you still feel connected. High School you have many opportunities for programs and other activities, be it sports, volunteering, school groups and community focused groups to help not only the community but everyone who vacations here.
Hayward helped me understand what I knew about myself and what I didn't. I gained knowledge in how to maneuver moving forard into my adult life. I was prepped with great teachers and a culture that was focused heavily on community. We didnt have the most expensive facilities or fanciest equipment for our school, but I've been told how much that I'm special and that's respect to my mentors.
